A few years ago I ran a couple of lovely swaps here on the blog and I think it might be time for another one. There's nothing nicer than finding a surprise in your mail box and since there are quite a few knitting and crocheting readers out there, this might be something fun that we can do together.
Last week the lovely Ellen from Alexandra Mackenzie asked me if I'd like to have a play with some of her gorgeous crochet patterns and well, of course I said yes! For the long term readers here on the blog, you might remember that Ellen created those gorgeous crocheted hot water bottle covers for our caravan? She's pretty clever and has a delightful Etsy store full of yummy patterns.
How's your creative space going this week? Much on the go? Mine is consisting of three projects at the moment : my Emily Peacock tapestry, some lovely new cotton yarn (Sugar 'n Cream) and a scarf for Bella.
It's very rare for me to buy a magazine these days, but yesterday I indulged in three lovely crochet magazines to read and be inspired by. I've bought a few digital issues of 'Simply Crochet' recently and really enjoyed it, so stocked up on two issues of that and then discovered a new (to me) magazine called Inside Crochet. I really like this one, a lot.
I live with my husband and 2 children in Tasmania, Australia. I love to make nice things, spend time with my family, travel, bake yummy treats, read pretty craft books, give handmade gifts, toast marshmallows in our wood fired oven & live a lovely life.
