Aren't babies the best with their squishy little fingers and sweet little ways?! Miss M came over for another visit yesterday and really, I wanted to keep her.
There was playing, reading, singing, giggling and I managed to squeeze in a spot of cookie baking and some knitting while she slept.
You know what else? I finally cast off the On Off Shawl too!!
There are still ends to darn in and the shawl needs a really good block, but it's finished. Apart from a few hiccups (ahem, me dropping some stitches now and then), I really enjoyed creating this and it's pushed my knitting skills up just a teensy notch as well.
So, the dilemma of what to cast on next was playing on my mind and with a sweet baby by my side, the decision was easily made - no procrastinating for once.
This will (hopefully) be a cardigan for Miss M to wear when autumn arrives - the design is 'in threes baby cardigan' and for the yarn I'm just going with something from my current stash, Moda Vera pure wool in an 8 ply. I'm nervous about starting such a project, as I'm still only learning this whole 'knitting' thing, but a friend of mine has recommended the pattern so I thought I'd give it a whirl.
I'll let you know how it goes - fingers crossed as always.
