I've been having a little play with some paper supplies this afternoon, whipping up a few envelopes to keep on hand to send my snail mail penfriends. They were quick to put together and a little bit quirky - not a super fan of the house one, but hey, it's only an envelope that will end up being popped in the bin anyhow.
For the hand, house and baby (that face kills me!) I cut out the shapes from a children's picture book that I picked up from an op-shop for 50 cents. The bottom right hand side envelope is just strips of washi tape along the top - an idea that I found on pinterest.
Oh and I made a quick birthday card too, since I was already knee high in paper mess - just washi tape on a shipping tag, a birthday greeting stamp and a paper doily behind the tag. I think it took the grand sum of ten minutes to make and much cheaper than buying a $5+ card at the newsagency.
Creating definitely comes with a price though:
Yep, I know what I'll be doing tonight.
