We were up early this morning with a bike race for James, but were back home around 1ish just before the rain started to pour down. By 3pm we had our jobs finished and hung out in the lounge room, drinking far too many cups of tea and I worked on a few rows of the knitted baby blanket. It's coming along so nicely and I've just cast on the green, which means I'm nearly half way.
Bella worked on some school homework (a collage) and I also dug out my long term embroidery project. There are only 8 squares to go and I'm hoping to fill in at least 2 of those this week. I found some embroidered stripey trees (by Liz Smith) and thought I might give one a whirl. If you want to be super inspired with bright and funky embroidery, go and take a look at Liz's Flickr set - A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.
Well, I'd better hot foot it off here as we're waiting on pizza to be delivered for a lazy old Sunday dinner. Hoping you managed to squish in a bit of creating today too and are keeping warm. xx
