Learning to weave has been on the high end of my 'wanting to do' project list for a while now, but I've shown pretty good restraint (until a few days ago) at not starting another new creative hobby. Today I really should be sharing a new dishcloth pattern for the week, but this weaving project has been taking up my knitting time, so I'm not quite ready to cast on another cloth just yet.
My first weaving project turned out a bit wonky on the sides because I haven't quite figured out the correct tension yet, but learning to weave wasn't quite as tricky as I thought it would be. I found it really relaxing actually and can definitely see myself doing more weavings in the future. The design was made up in my head, I didn't follow a pattern, but I did use some wall hangings that I found on pinterest as my inspiration.
It's a great way to start using up my yarn scraps too!
What about you, have you caught the weaving bug yet?
