I stayed up late (for me) last night to finish my Ramona cardigan and am feeling all kinds of excitement with the finished garment. The best bit is that it fits perfectly and I really love the style - so much that I'm already planning to cast on a second Ramona in different colours.
These photos are straight off the needles, so the band especially could do with a good blocking. I also don't really consider myself an advanced knitter, so this was my first time picking up stitches for the neck and button bands - I did a fair bit of winging it and kept my fingers crossed that it would turn out okay, turns out that it did.
The yarn is Cascade Superwash 220 Aran and although it's certainly warm and cosy, I'm a bit worried about the pilling aspect of this yarn, but we'll see. Hopefully it might fluff a bit to begin with and then ease down, if not, then I'll just have to keep on top of it with a fabric-pill remover.
For the pattern, I added a bit of extra length to the cardigan and made the sleeves quite a bit shorter, but I'll be popping a lot of the finer details up over on my Ravelry page at some stage today, if you want to have a read. Overall this is definitely a pattern that I'd recommend - very clear instructions and easy to follow.
